Changes to the occupational pension agreement PA16 from 1st of January - Condensed version
The comprehensive change from 1 January 2024 is that if you are born before 1988 and belong to section 2 of the occupational pension agreement PA16 earn into to your occupational pension until 69 years of age. If you are born 1988 or later and belong to section 1 in PA16 there are no changes.
All persons born before 1988 and belong to section 2 will earn into their occupational pension until 69 years of age (does not apply to the defined benefit retirement age pension). Other changes depend on which year you were born.
If you are born between 1966 and 1987
- Will receive another part paid into your occupational pension of 1,5 percent of your salary. The money will be placed in the part Kåpan Flex.
- Will not be able to apply for part time pension with your employer.
- Earliest take out occupational pension from 63 years of age (Not applicable for certain occupational groups that have a right to retire earlier)
If you are born before 1966
- Will receive another part paid into your occupational pension of 0,5 percent of your salary. The money will be placed in the part Kåpan Flex. If your employer decides that you will receive part time pension the payment into this part ends.
Certain occupational groups that have a possibility to retire earlier
There are also changes for certain occupational groups that can retire early. For the moment we will refer to the news on The Swedish Agency for Government Employers website with pending agreement documents.
