Born 1988 or later – Section 1

Your employer pays into your occupational each month. It could be several thousands each month. Through your employment you have a safety net that in the event of your death pays out money to your family. You might also have the right to a sickness pension in the event that you should become long term ill.

Your money is placed in three different parts

Your occupational pension consists of different parts. If you belong to section 1 of the occupational pension agreement PA 16, you will have three parts in the occupational pension.

The selectable part

Your employer pays in money equivalent to 2,5 percent of your salary, up to 47 625 SEK a month. If your salary is higher, your employer pays in an additional 20 percent of your salary from 47 626 SEK and up.

You can choose how the money should be managed by selecting the form of savings and insurer. You do not have to make a selection if you do not wish to. If you do not make your own choice, the money is placed in a traditional insurance without repayment cover managed by Kåpan Government Employees Pension Fund called Kåpan Valbar.
